About Bike New England
Bike New England provides a free searchable online database of cycling routes in the American Northeast, with links to our own rides, cycling clubs, charity rides, and regional cycling advocacy groups. There is a charge only for cue sheets and route maps on disk or for direct access to the cue sheet directory.
Bike
New England and the
Cycling New England blog are projects of
Gordon Harris, a ride leader and webmaster for
North Shore Cyclists.
After Gordon joined the 2000 Big Ride Across
America for the American Lung Association, he
started
Berkshire Cycle Touring to share his favorite
rides in western Massachusetts, and after moving
to charming Ipswich, Massachusetts on the
North Shore of Massachusetts began leading
cycling tours there for Elderhostel and Ciclismo
Classico. Every summer Gordon and friends set
out on a
multi-day cycling tour in New England or eastern
Canada. The web site expanded to share this
growing inventory of cycling routes to the public.
You can help support the project by purchasing
cycling products offered on our web pages.
Contact Gordon about designing
a self-guided tour for your family or group
to match your interests and ability levels.
Prices are generally $100 for each day of the
tour. Services include all correspondence about
the tour, route research, PDF cue sheets and
route maps from your desired start location,
and interactive maps of the tour at
Ride With GPS.

Gordon also leads walking tours of historic Ipswich Massachusetts. On the 1.5 hour walk we discuss the architecture and personal stories behind the town's First Period, Second Periodd, Federal, Greek Revival and Victorian homes, using them as an opportunity to explore the history and natural geography of the town. Tours are available by request, $10 per person for small groups. Email Gordon Harris about arranging a walking tour for your family or group, or call (978) 979-6598.
