From Buck Pond State Campground in Onchiota NY turn left on Buck Pond Rd. and continue to Onchiotta Road. At the next intersection turn right onto Kushaqua-Mud Pond Road. After about 5 miles turn right onto Blue Spruce Drive to Loon Lake. At 6.5 miles turn right on paved NY 99 until you turn right again on Thatcherville Road at about 7 miles. At 9.5 miles turn left on Kushaqua-Mud Pond Rd. for a mile and then left on the former railroad bed along Lake Kushaqua. to Buck Pond State Campground.
