Manchester: Rockingham Recreational Trail

The unpaved 28-mile Rockingham Recreational Trail follows the former Portsmouth Branch of the Boston and Maine Railroad. The NH DOT converted the abandoned railway into a rail-trail. View the trail at the TrailLink site.

The western end of the trail begins behind the Rite-Aid on Mammoth Rd. and continues along the shore of Massabesic Lake in Manchester NH, carving its way through secluded woodlands to the Newfields railroad depot.
