Start:  North Scituate Town Commons, Rt 116 (Map to Start)
Description:  An old favorite NBW ride around Rhode island’s largest (man-made) lake, with an extension into Foster. Somewhat hilly and challenging, the route meanders through many old villages (Scituate was first settled in 1710), with mills that prospered in the 19th century. In 1915 14,800 acres, containing houses, schools, churches, mills, farms, ice houses, post office,and an electric railway system were condemned by the state of Rhode Island to create the Scituate Reservoir.
