Whitinsville Major Taylor Ride

Marshall Walter “Major” Taylor known as “Major Taylor won the world 1 mile track cycling championship in 1899, and was the first African Amerian to become a world champion in athletic competitions. The Seven Hills Wheelmen annually hold a Major Taylor Century ride.The 2004 and 2010 route started at the Whitin Community Center, 60 Main St., Whitinsville, Mass. (map to start)
