The 36 mile Mohawk Towpath Byway ride starts on the Colonie/Niskayuna bike path (Mohawk Hudson Bikeway) at the Colonie NY Town Park and crosses the Mohawk River at Rexford just east of Schenectady, then returns through Colonie on the Old Champlain Canal Trail.
