This ride starts at the Chazy, NY Central Rural School. William H. Miner patented a shock-absorbing device for railway cars known as the Miner Tandem Draft Rigging. He built this school which was the first central school established in the United States. The William H. Miner Agriculture Research Institute and his old homestead are on the route and open to the public.
