Cape Ann from Ipswich

Start: Hammatt St. downtown parking lot, Ipswich, MA map to start

Description: Quiet local roads from Ipswich take us to Manchester by the Sea, continuing counter-clockwise for a very scenic tour of Cape Ann’s rocky coastline. All routes go through beautiful Magnolia bordering the ocean, and continue past Hammond Castle, a replication of an English medieval fortress. The short (32-mile) and medium (41-mile) routes turn back to Ipswich from Gloucester near the famous Man at the Wheel statue. The long (54-mile) and extra-long metric century (62-mile) routes go on to Rockport and back through Annisquam Village

Note: This is a scenic tour with frequent turns and is not designed for pace line riding. Some roads are tight and narrow. Some roads have very rough pavement or loose gravel. Please be very careful. If you are riding in a pack, make sure that the leader knows the route. Ride developed by Gordon Harris.
