  1. The Tour of the Litchfield Hills is a charity ride to benefit the Cancer Care Fund of the Litchfield Hills. The 22nd Annual Tour will be held on Sunday, August 3rd. There are rides of 100, 75, 55, 30 and 12. All the roads used are paved. Registration fee is $50 and you can register at http://www.bikereg.com. The Tour starts and end at Coe Park, Torrington, CT. There is a free picnic after the ride and participants receive a free t-shirt.

  3. The South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA) will hold its sixth regional bike ride, Pedal for the Path. Beginning and ending at Running Brook Vineyard, the ride will feature 35 miles of fabulous cycling, postcard-perfect scenic views, more historic places than you can count, and, along the way, memorable ice cream and more! A post-ride celebration will feature a food truck, wine and beverages for purchase, and live music.

    New this year: the 35-mile loop will follow the newly established Dartmouth Heritage Trail bicycle route, winding through Dartmouth’s ten founding villages from Hixville in the north to Round Hill in the south. The official PFTP route will be posted on our website and Facebook event and emailed closer to the ride. A waiver will be provided at sign-in.

    Also new this year: registration is free but required. You can donate here. There are two new ways to show your support. Jerseys and Tech tees are available for purchase at registration.

    This signature event highlights the beauty and history of the South Coast. We will celebrate recent progress along the South Coast Bikeway, highlight the Northern Scenic Greenway project that will connect Fall River to New Bedford through Westport and Dartmouth, and update attendees about the bikeway’s status in our ten-member communities.

  5. The Support Info-GO Initiative is holding a fundraising bike ride on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Day Hill Business Park/Dudleytown Brewing Company 1001 Day Hill Rd. Windsor, CT at 8 AM. The rain date is Sunday, September 29, 2024. The Routes are 4.5 miles guided handicapped, 25 miles, 50 miles & 100 miles routes. The routes follow those laid out by the discontinued Bike-MS ride & are being updated in Ride with GPS to reflect the new start/finish lines. Registration is $40 with a $250 fundraising minimum requirement. The top 3 fundraisers get a lighted bike helmet.

    The event includes a catered lunch from Bear’s BBQ for all riders & volunteers. Riders will get 1 beer from Dudleytown Brewing Company. All riders will get an event T-shirt. Teams of 5 or more riders get their logo printed on the sleeve. Donations will help fund the My Support Connection ongoing health condition social media platform. The Support Info-GO Initiative, Inc. is an approved 501/c3 non-profit organization.

    Bicycles Battling Cancer is a fully supported one-day bike ride in support of the American Cancer Society. Every year, we have hundreds of riders sign up and fundraise for our mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

    On Sunday, September 22nd, our riders come together and partake in a scenic 30, 50, 63 (100km), or 100 mile ride through Central Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Riders of all levels are encouraged to join and can participate as an individual or as part of a team.     Choose your own adventure from the 100-mile, 75-mile, or 35-mile overlapping cycling routes that wind past coastal farmlands, windswept beaches, cranberry bogs, and scenic harbors between Rhode Island and Cape Cod.     The Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride is a unique and exciting community event that raises funds for the protection and restoration of Buzzards Bay.   8. 13th Annual Vermont Adaptive Charity Challenge presented by Killington Resort

    The Vermont Adaptive Charity Challenge is an annual event to enjoy the beauty of Vermont through cycling, mountain biking, paddling, and hiking, all while raising funds for the state’s largest nonprofit organization committed to providing sports and recreation to people with disabilities.

    Multiple road bike ride routes loop through the towns of Killington, Pittsfield, Bethel, Barnard, Woodstock, Ludlow, Bridgewater, and Plymouth, Vermont. Or you can choose to mountain bike, hike, paddle, or do a gravel ride. The monies raised from this event support the adaptive programs and athletes of Vermont Adaptive year-round.   10. Phinney’s (aka Phinney’s Friends, Inc.), a nonprofit that helps low-income people in Massachusetts keep their pets, is gearing up for its 8th annual Phinney’s Ride–a biennial fundraiser to help those living with HIV and AIDS care for their pets.

    The registration fee for Phinney’s Ride is $20 with a pledge to raise $200 or more. Individuals can also form teams with family, friends, and coworkers. And, everyone who registers will get a personalized web page with photos and their bio, which they can direct their ride sponsors to.

    This year also marks the introduction of the Phinney’s Ride “Couch Potato Hero Certificate,” which gives those who don’t want to ride the option of showing their support with a donation of $100 or more.

    Phinney’s Ride began as a biennial 150-mile ride that Dr. Peduzzi organized from Stow Mass. to Fitzwilliam N.H. over two days, based on a riding plan they followed from their previous charitable challenges with other nonprofit. This year, Dr. Peduzzi’s team will ride 80 miles on September 11-12, traveling from Bristol to Little Compton in Rhode Island, stopping to rest and re-energize along the way.

You’ll ride along beautiful country roads, passing lakes, ponds, fields and historic homes before heading into the Great Mountain Forest.   13. Save One Life is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those with bleeding disorders in developing countries. The organization is holding their annual Wheels for the World ride virtually in honor of Barry Haarde, a long time supporter of Save One Life who passed away in 2018. Barry completed six cross-country rides in support of Save One Life, riding 20,395 miles and raising over $253,000.

    We will offer a 25 mile route and a metric century (62 miles) route for those riding locally, but appreciate any distance people want to ride in support of Save One Life.

    All funds raised from the ride support the mission of Save One Life. Save One Life is proud to partner with Beverly Bikes, True North Ale Company, and the New England Hemophilia Association to host this special annual event.
