Ipswich to Boston Ride

Description: 47 miles along back roads and bike lanes to North Station in Boston. Quiet local roads from Ipswich take us to Topsfield, North Reading, Wakefield, and Stoneham. We then ride along the Mystic River to Arlington, take the Minuteman Bike Path to Cambridge, and follow the Fresh Pond bike path and local bike lanes to the Charles River. Memorial Drive in Cambridge is closed on Sundays through early November from Mount Auburn to Western Ave. We cross the Charles River at Western Ave and join the Dudley Bike Path along Storrow Drive on the Boston side of the river, continuing the entire distance to the Science Museum Bridge. North Station is only a couple of blocks away, and we catch the train back to Ipswich, which takes 50 minutes.
