Ride the South Coast. Celebrate the Bikeway. Have Fun! Join us for the South Coast Bikeway Alliance’s signature event of the year—Pedal for the Path—a scenic 35-mile cycling tour showcasing the beauty, history, and communities of the South Coast. This year’s ride follows the newly established Dartmouth Heritage Trail, winding through Dartmouth’s ten historic founding villages, from Hixville in the north to Round Hill in the south. Enjoy quiet country roads, spectacular coastal views, charming villages, and plenty of memorable stops along the way—including ice cream! The official ride route will be posted on our website and Facebook event page and emailed to registered riders before the event. All participants will sign a waiver at check-in.
Why Ride?
Pedal for the Path is more than a bike ride—it’s a celebration of the growing South Coast Bikeway and the people working to make safe, connected cycling a reality across our region. During the event, you’ll learn about:
- Recent progress on the South Coast Bikeway
- The proposed Northern Scenic Greenway connecting Fall River, Westport, Dartmouth, and New Bedford
- Updates from the Alliance’s ten member communities
- Future plans to complete this regional trail network
