Twin Lakes bicycle ride, Berkshires

This ride heads south from the Windflower Inn on Rt. 23 near Great Barrington MA on a nice flat road to Sheffield Make sure to stop here to view the oldest covered bridge in Massachusetts (Rebuilt and restored during the 1990’s). Continuing south, we ride through very remote farm country to the Twin Lakes that sit near the Massachusetts/ Connecticut state line. At the southern end of the ride, we turn back in Falls Village, with the option for a shorter distance. We return through Canaan Connecticut and along the Housatonic River back to Sheffield and South Egremont. The entire ride is on quiet back roads and is relatively gentle for the Berkshires, with just a couple of short but steep climbs.
