The Erie Canal Heritage Trail follows a former towpath 85 miles along the Erie Canal, from Lockport, New York, to Palmyra, New York .
Trail Access:
Lockport I-90 to Depew Exit 49. Rt 78 (Transit Road) north 15 miles. Right on Rt 31 east 2.5 miles. Left on Cold Springs Road 0.5 miles to parking. Trail access across high bridge over Canal.
Brockport I-90 to Leroy Exit 47. I-490 east 4 miles to Exit 2. Rt 19 north 9 miles to Harvester Park, parking on right. Trail access across lift bridge.
Palmyra I-90 to Manchester Exit 43. Left on Rt 21 north 6 miles to Palmyra. Left on Rt 31 west 0.75 miles to Aqueduct Park. Parking on right. Trail access west of Park entrance.
