Cycling the Delaware Water Gap

For 40 miles the Middle Delaware River passes between low forested mountains, cuts through the mountain ridge to form the famed “Water Gap.” Exiting the park, the river will run 200 miles more to Delaware Bay at Wilmington, Delaware, and on to the to the Atlantic. The McDade Recreational Trail PA is a designated bike trail. Map of McDadeTrail .

There is also excellent Road Bike Touring with a mix of paved and unpaved roads. Read more about cycling the gap in this article from the Appalachian Mountain Club.
