North Catskill half-century bicycle ride

This 54 miles of cycling starts in Margaretville, NY and was designed in 2009 by the Central Catskill Chamber of commerce as part of the 1st Annual Catskills Scenic Ride-n-Peak event with several shorter distance options and a century ride also available.The start location is the Village of Margaretville Pavilion, 982 Main Street, Margaretville, NY 12455.There is over 3000 ft. of accumulated elevation climb over the distance of the route, with a steep climb and descent about 10 miles before reaching Delhi at mile 32, and another steep climb and descent near Platekill State Forest toward the end of the ride . The route is a mix of rural state highways with excellent shoulders, and a few local roads. There are very few towns in this area so make sure to bring food and water.
