Plum Island 19 mile ride

This is a 19 mile ride from Newburyport to the lighthouse at the northern tip of the town of Plum Island. On our tour we meet Plum Island Kayak to spend a couple of hours along the Plum Island River. Back on the bikes, the ride continues through the Parker River Wildlife Refuge to the Hellcat Observatory, where we often stop for a half mile walk out to the marsh and along the boardwalk. Our ride then heads back to Newburyport through the historic district.
